Topaze by Avon is a Floral Aldehyde fragrance for women. Topaze was launched in 1959. Top notes are aldehydes, coriander, peach,bergamot and lemon; middle notes are carnation, iris, jasmine,ylang-ylang, lily-of-the-valley and rose; base notes are sandalwood, tonka bean, amber, benzoin, civet and vetiver.
Topaz has been compared to Chanel no 5
with most of the same notes:
The nose behind this fragrance is Ernest Beaux. Top notes are neroli, ylang-ylang, bergamot, amalfi lemon and aldehydes; middle notes are iris, jasmine, orris root, rose and lily-of-the-valley; base notes are vetiver, musk, sandalwood, patchouli, oak moss, amber, vanille and civetta.
When I first sprayed Topaz on, it reminded me of Chanel no 5 it has no musk note but it does carry the same layering effect that Chanel no 5 does as the drying time takes place it seems to release a new scent every hour. Just a blissful experience.
